Day 2 - 7

We leave Coober Pedy and head west on our epic trek along the Anne Beadell Highway and through the middle of the Great Victoria Desert. We pass through the Tallaringa Conservation Park to visit Emu (the British campsite) and the 2 ground zero atomic bomb sites. Then it's on to Anne's Corner, Vokes Hill Corner, Ilkurka for fuel, a plane crash site, Neale Junction and on to Yeo Lake Nature Reserve before completing the Anne Beadell Highway and then into Laverton.

Day 8

A brief visit to the old gold mining town of Gwalia and then into Laverton, where we say goodbye to those not continuing on with us on our 'Coral Coast and Pilbara' Tour. This will also be a chance to make any repairs (if necessary) and restock our supplies before heading north to Mount Magnet.

Days 9 & 10

We leave Mount Magnet and head up to Kalbarri National Park. We'll have a 2 night stop and a chance to visit 'Natures Window', walk the new 'Skywalk' bridge out over the gorge and explore the Murchison River. This is a lovely part of the WA coastline with many great photography opportunities with it's picturesque beaches and rugged coastal views.

Days 11 - 36

From there we are heading back inland to the remote Pilbara region (after 13 years away!), beginning with a stop at Mount Augustus - the biggest rock in the world! It takes all day to climb it but the views of the surrounding countryside are magnificent. Leaving Mount Augustus, we track across outback station country as we head to Tom Price to restock and to 4WDrive up Mt. Nameless before making our way to Karajini National Park to explore the gorges and pools for a few days.
